Ralph Moore
Ralph Moore has been growing and developing roses since high school in the 1920's. He is known especially for his work in the development and popularization of modern miniature roses.

He founded Sequoia Nursery (Moore Miniature Roses) in 1937. There, their aim is to develop not just new varieties but better and different roses. To do this, they have used in their breeding process not only miniature roses, but many different and varied kinds including several wild species, old garden roses, Floribunda, Hybrid Tea, moss and striped roses.
